Sam specialises in rehabilitation having worked as a physiotherapist for Melbourne's Hopetoun Rehabilitation Hospital and private practice rehabilitating post-knee, hip and spinal surgery patients. He understands the benefits of Clinical Pilates for athletes after treating elite and amateur AFL players in Melbourne, where he saw how Pilates complemented physiotherapy to boost the players' performance and speed-up their recovery from injury.
He knows from first-hand experience that combining Clinical Pilates and physiotherapy is not only effective, but fun, completing his own rehabilitation after arthroscopic knee surgery in 2006. "My knee has never felt stronger"
Sam believes that if performed correctly and used proactively, Pilates is an enjoyable and invigorating form of exercise that will not only avoid acute visits to the physio, but become an essential part of your lifestyle.
